CALL FOR PAPERS
The Mexican Nuclear Society (SNM) Congress is an annual event that has united researchers, professors, students, and experts in the nuclear field for over 30 years. This forum is dedicated to fostering cooperation and collaboration across various areas of knowledge, including reactor physics and thermohydraulics, nuclear facility safety and maintenance, non-proliferation, applications of ionizing radiation in health, the environment, and public acceptance, among others.
For its 37th Congress, the Mexican Nuclear Society warmly invites all interested authors to submit original and complete papers that have not been previously presented at similar congresses. The submissions are welcomed in the following research areas:
1. Nuclear industry
Operation and maintenance of nuclear facilities; design and licensing; materials for nuclear applications; energy planning; human resource management within the nuclear sector.
2. Reactor physics
Criticality analysis and neutron parameter calculation; nuclear fuel cycle (burning, fuel management, and transmutation); development and application of neutron codes; non-proliferation and safeguards; reactor dynamics and control.
3. Reactor thermohydraulics
Heat transfer and fluid mechanics in nuclear systems; two-phase flows and phase change; cooling system analysis; thermohydraulics modeling and simulation; thermohydraulics transient analysis; experimental validation.
4. Reactor safety
Deterministic and probabilistic safety analysis methodologies (APS levels 1, 2, and 3); accident assessment (LOCA, LOFA, SBO, RIA); risk and reliability analysis; active and passive safety systems; severe accident management; safety culture and nuclear regulation.
5. Non-electric applications
Applications of nuclear technology in industry, the environment, and medicine; radiopharmaceuticals; radiation physics; nuclear analytical techniques.
6. Nuclear fusion
Plasma physics; fusion system technology and design.
The final version of a written work must be submitted in PDF format and must not exceed 5 MB. The document should be between 8 and 14 pages long. If the paper is too long, it is recommended that you divide it into two related papers with different approaches, and submit some pages independently for review.
Microsoft Word is recommended for preparing the document. However, any other office suite may be used, provided that the established guidelines and format are followed. To facilitate the preparation of your written work, you can download the official Congress template at the following link:
